Beatles의 노래들로 가득한 이 영화.
2007년 개봉인 이 영화는 국내에서 최근에야 적은 개봉관에 잠깐 걸렸다가 내려갔다.

이 영화를 보는 내내 떠나지 않던 생각은 …
“왜 우리는 서로가 살고 싶어하는 대로 놔두려 하지 않을까?” 라는 의문이었다.

남을 위해서, 고향을 위해서, 나라를 위해서, 세계를 위해서라고 떠들어대는 이들 …
결국은 자기를 위해 그러면서 말이다.

오늘의 가사 검열은 이 영화에 나오는 <Let It Be>를 골라보았다.

Let It Be.  참 해석하기 어려운 말이다.

“세상 일이 어떻게 돌아가든 네 할 일을 열심히 하라”,
“다 놓아두고 훌훌 털어버리라”,
“되는 대로 흘러가는 대로 따르라”,
“세월이 흘러 가면 다 좋아지리라”,
“거부하려 하지 말고 받아들이라”,

다 맞는 해석이다.
듣는 이와 말하는 이가 상황에 따라 의미하는 바를 부여하면 된다.
